LEGO System A/S – Senior Manager – Existing Element Development
As Senior Manager – Existing Element Development, you will have the overall responsibility to lead a team of specialists focusing on re-ordering and insourcing of existing elements.
Joining Existing Element Development & Platform in Billund, you will be part of a department consisting of 3 individual teams, one of which you will lead. Your team focuses on delivering Technical Element Development in the right quality and on time to our internal customers. This makes us an anchor point in the value chain and a gatekeeper on high quality elements for the production facilities in The LEGO Group. You will be leading approximately 12 Element Developers located in Singapore (2) and Denmark (10). Other than this you will also be a part of the Leadership Team in EED&P.
Your responsibility and tasks will include:
- Ensuring focus on processes, planning and quality in the daily operations to deliver on time and in the right quality.
- Creating a motivated and high performing global team in 2 different time zones.
- Developing the capabilities in the team.
- Simplifying and optimising processes to increase output.
Proven leader with experience from a technical organization
Your educational background is minimum B.Sc. level with a strong background in engineering. You have at least 3-5 years of leadership experience gained from a minimum of 3 years in a R&D/product innovation area. Preferably, you have experience from CAD and 3D design and/or from the plastics industry.
As your primary focus will be on leading your team, it is important that you have leadership capabilities along with process and planning skills. Leadership goes both ways, meaning you have the communication skills to advice, guide and lead upwards and downwards in the organization. You demonstrate a solid business understanding and you are able to comprehend the entire value chain of which your team is a vital part of. Finally, you are ready for change as well as learning.
You have the flexibility to travel up to 25 days a year. You master spoken and written English language at advanced level.
