This position is based in the Copenhagen Area, Denmark. The Strategic Procurement Manager – Marketing is a key role within the organization and is responsible for strategic sourcing, negotiation, and ongoing contract management of indirect spend subcategories within the marketing category. In this position you will be responsible for all European spend within the overall marketing category. Responsibility is end-to-end with an emphasis on developing the EU category strategy, business case execution, influencing operations, leading cross-functional project teams and ultimately delivering great results.
In this position you will refer directly to the Director, Strategic Procurement / Global Category Lead – Marketing located in the United States.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Identify and categorize the total spend
- Optimize and streamline the overall category
- Challenge your internal stakeholders
- Define and develop multi-year category management strategy including cost reduction efficiency with process and procurement platform improvements along with demand reduction focusing on TCO
- Contract and Supplier Performance Management
- Effectively lead the strategy to success at all levels within the company
- Besides marketing you will in periods be working on other projects within procurement
In addition to having a solid and relevant theoretical background at master’s level you should have 3-5 years of experience working in an international environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of practical experience within strategic procurement and the marketing category, founded in a strong business understanding.
You find an inner ignition in strategic matters but also take great pride in being the executing project manager of strategic initiatives, spanning across the company, and daily administrative tasks. You work in a systematic, structured and analytical way and are motivated by navigating between many internal stakeholders in an international organization.
In this position you will have to travel a lot, and therefore you should be ready to travel 30-40 days a year.
